In 19 days time the girls and I will board a plane to drive the Canadian Rockies. I am not sure what my friends real expectations is of our trip. Maybe they expect excitement, fun, even a little danger especially as none of us is really equipped to drive anything bigger than our British cars let alone a RV. Word is its easy to drive one of those bad boys, so it’s not on my worry list. In fact my expectations tend to be so far unformed. I like to hope that once we get on the adventure, whatever is there for us will come to find us, as long as we are wide open to the experience. Saying “lets do it” rather than “does our insurance really cover us’. Saying Hi to people who look and sound different from us, just to find how much we are really alike. And feeling just enough out of our comfort zone to learn something new we can keep with us forever. And missing our life here just enough to make us feel eternally grateful its great to go places but pretty nice to come back too.
